Tottenham vs Leicester Premier League

The match is over.
Score: 3-1.

The Premier League continues this weekend as third-placed Tottenham play host to an inconsistent and somewhat unpredictable Leicester City side. These two teams played out the 2016 title race.

This is an interesting clash between Tottenham – who are not yet out of the title race – and Leicester, who have a strong record against the top sides in the division.

Claude Puel’s side recently held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield while they have also defeated Chelsea 1-0 and Manchester City 2-1 in the past six weeks.

Tottenham have edged out recent home wins against Watford 2-1 and a 1-0 victory at home to Newcastle, as they maintain their position in the top three.

Spurs remain within touching distance of the top two sides Liverpool and Manchester City and have a seven-point cushion over Chelsea, in fourth.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be favourites to make it four league wins out of four due to possessing home advantage, superior form and quality over Leicester.

The home side are favourites to win this game although it may not be comfortable – a 2-1 triumph for the North London side would appear a likely outcome from it.
