Score: 2-1.

The Premier League continues this weekend with Manchester United – the in-form team in the division – playing host to Brighton in a game the hosts are strong favourites to win.

There is a palpable feel-good factor around Manchester United with the team having won six consecutive matches under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Last weekend’s 1-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspur was a statement victory from the Red Devils and kept them firmly in the mix for a top four finish.

They are now level on points with fifth-placed Arsenal while they are just six points behind Chelsea, in fourth, who play the Gunners this weekend.

However, Brighton defeated United 3-2 earlier in the campaign and are having a respectable season to date, sitting 13th in the Premier League standings.

The hosts will be favourites to make it seven wins out of seven under their new boss due to possessing home advantage, superior form and quality over Brighton.

The home side are favourites to win this game although it may not be comfortable – a 3-1 triumph for the Red Devils would appear a likely outcome from it.

Betting Tips

United are in fine goalscoring form and had netted 16 goals in five games before last weekend’s 1-0 win at Tottenham. Indeed they’ve hit 13 goals across their last four home league games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in that run. Brighton have netted 24 goals in 22 league games and this is another game that appears likely to be goal-filled.

Brighton have only failed to score in three of their last 16 matches in all competitions, while United have kept just four clean sheets in their 22 league games to date. The home side are massive favourites but this bet is among the best online betting odds for this round of fixtures.

Head to Head

Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, Brighton have won each of the last two meetings between the sides – 3-2 back in August and a 1-0 victory last season in May. However, both of those wins came on the South Coast and the Seagulls have never won away to Manchester United, losing 1-0 in the Premier League and 2-0 in the FA Cup last season.

  • Despite having kept clean sheets in each of their last three matches, United have still conceded one more Premier League goal than 18th-placed Newcastle this season.
  • Brighton (30) have conceded two fewer league goals than Manchester United this season, although conversely they have scored 20 goals fewer.
  • Manchester United have six wins and 21 points from their 10 home league matches to date this season, the fifth best record in the division.
  • Brighton have not excelled on their travels this campaign, they have won just twice in their 11 matches on the road, claiming just eight points – only four teams have worse records away from home.
