The match is over.
Score: 2-1.

The Premier League continues this weekend with two contenders for the top six going head-to-head in the Midlands with Leicester welcoming Tottenham Hotspur.

Both these sides have made solid if unspectacular starts to their respective league campaigns with eight points from their opening five matches.

The Foxes unbeaten start to the season came to an end on Saturday with a narrow 1-0 loss at Manchester United, having previously taken points off both Wolves and Chelsea.

Tottenham ended a winless league run of three matches with a comfortable 4-0 victory at home to Crystal Palace last time out.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side crashed to a disappointing home defeat against Newcastle earlier in the season and have also held both Arsenal and Manchester City to draws.

The visitors will be favourites to add three more points despite not possessing home advantage, as they hold superior quality over the Foxes.

The away side are slight favourites to win this game although in reality a draw is the most likely outcome – a 2-2 draw would appear a likely outcome from it.

Betting Tips

Both of these sides have already drawn 40% of their league matches this season and despite Spurs holding a slight edge in terms of quality, home advantage should even this out and make this a hugely competitive clash, making it one of the best online betting odds for this round of matches. 888Sport have priced this at 49/20.

The England striker has already netted three goals this season and has four in his last four appearances against Spurs this season. Pochettino’s men have shipped four goals in their last two away games while the Foxes scored three in their last home fixture against Bournemouth. 888Sport have Vardy anytime at 33/20.

Head to Head

Tottenham have won each of the past three meetings between the sides including a 3-1 home win last season and a 2-0 triumph in Leicester – while Spurs have won memorable clashes 5-4 and 6-1 against the Foxes in recent times.

  • 25 goals have flown in across the past five meetings between these two sides.
  • Seven of those goals came from England international Harry Kane, who has scored three in five appearances this campaign.
  • Spurs begin their Champions League campaign in Olympiakos less than 70 hours before this clash, potentially meaning fatigue could come into play.
  • Leicester finished last season a whopping 19 points off Tottenham and a top four finish.
