Manchester City will try to keep up momentum at the top of the Premier League when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day afternoon.

Predictions

Leicester City and Manchester City will meet for the second time in eight days on Boxing Day after the two teams played out a 1-1 draw in the EFL Cup, with the latter eventually progressing after a penalty shootout.

Pep Guardiola’s side will welcome back the big guns for Wednesday’s fixture, having rested the likes of Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane for that game.

Going into the festive fixtures, City are a point behind Liverpool in the Premier League but remain favourites with online betting sites to win the division again.

Leicester are nestled safely in midtable in the league but face Liverpool as well as Manchester City over the Christmas period.

The Foxes have lost only one of their last six across all competitions at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester are struggling for consistency this season and Manchester City – who have Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero back firing – should be able to exploit that with a 2-1 win.

Betting Tips

Manchester City may have been in scintillating form once again this season but they haven’t been too solid away from home, conceding in each of their last four matches on the road. Leicester have sometimes found it difficult to get on the scoresheet themselves but they should have star striker Jamie Vardy back in the fold for the match and he has previous against City.

Kevin De Bruyne announced his return from injury in fine style in the EFL Cup meeting against Leicester City, driving in the opening goal from the edge of the penalty area. He should force his way back into the Manchester City starting line-up for this game and will want to score at the King Power Stadium – as he did in City’s 2-0 win last season.

Leicester last came out on top at their own ground in the 2016/17 campaign, with Jamie Vardy scoring a hat-trick in a 4-2 triumph.
