Leicester vs Liverpool - Premier League Match

Both sides have enjoyed strong starts to their Premier League campaigns and will both be looking to maintain that early momentum in Saturday’s early kick-off, with 2016 champions Leicester City welcoming Liverpool to the King Power Stadium.

Leicester vs Liverpool - Predictions

Liverpool did the double over Leicester in the Premier League last season but have suffered defeats in three of their last four visits to the Foxes, including in last season’s League Cup.

Both teams have made encouraging starts to the campaign, with Jurgen Klopp’s men the early table toppers with three victories from three.

However, despite a narrow opening day loss at Manchester United, under-fire Leicester boss Claude Puel has guided his side to solid back-to-back victories over Wolves and Southampton respectively.

Liverpool will enter this game as favourites but will be aware this is their most testing fixture to date and their dubious recent record in it makes this game too tight to call.

Each of the Merseyside clubs three recent defeats at the King Power have been by a margin of two goals and last year’s 3-2 league victory was attained only with the home side squandering a spot-kick chance.

Much like recent meetings, this will be a pulsating match-up but this time the two will cancel each other out in a 2-2 draw.

Leicester vs Liverpool - Betting Tips

Over 2.5 goals is 8/11

There have been 22 goals across the past six meetings between these two sides and it appears likely this will be a similarly high-scoring affair.

Between them, the two sides have 12 goals across their opening three league fixtures and with a home crowd behind them, the Foxes will have a chance.

At 8/11, three goals or more offers good value.

Both Teams To Score is 6/7

It is clear that both these teams have the capability of scoring goals with the pair of them finding the net in each of their games to date this campaign.

Furthermore, all five of the most recent league meetings between the two have seen each side find the net at least once.

Leicester vs Liverpool - Head to Head

Liverpool claimed all six points last season with a 2-1 win at Anfield backed up by a narrow 3-2 win at the King Power from earlier in the campaign.

However, it is not all doom and gloom for Leicester, who have achieved three home victories from the last four in the fixture, all by a margin of two goals or more.

Liverpool have failed to keep a clean sheet in the past seven meetings between the two.

Leicester vs Liverpool - Stats

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has scored seven goals in his last seven outings against Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have yet to concede a goal in any of their three league outings this campaign.

You have to go back to the 1 January 2015 to find the last time the pair recorded a draw, 2-2 at Anfield.

Only three teams to survive the drop last season conceded more Premier League goals than Leicester (60).
