Score: 0-2.

The Premier League restarts again this weekend following on from the recent international break and Manchester City have the opportunity to restore their lead atop the division as they travel to struggling Fulham in Saturday’s early kick-off in West London.

This is game that pits the Premier League’s most in-form side against opponents who are in need of points more than any other.

Fulham have lost seven consecutive Premier League games and have fallen to defeat in 11 of their last 12 matches in the competition.

By contrast, Manchester City have 11 straight victories across all competitions and have incredibly won 19 of their last 20 matches.

Pep Guardiola’s side sit two points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race but have played one game fewer, with this outing giving them a chance to go back to the top of the table.

The visitors will be strong favourites to continue their recent winning despite not possessing home advantage, as they have vastly superior form and quality over Fulham.

The away side are favourites to win this game and it is predicted to be very comfortable – a 4-1 triumph for the Manchester side would appear a likely outcome from it.

Betting Tips

City have scored a remarkable 67 goals across their last 20 matches in all competitions while Fulham have a very porous defence, they have conceded 29 times in their last 12 games. All signs point to a high-scoring encounter, especially as the hosts themselves have netted in four of their last five matches. This is among the best online betting odds for this round of action, priced at 7/4 by 888Sport.

City have not led at half-time in each of their last five domestic matches, and they have tended to come on much stronger in the second halves – evidenced in their 3-2 comeback win at Swansea City in the FA Cup. Fulham also tend to keep things relatively tight against top opposition – they were only defeated by Liverpool by a late penalty and also recently held Chelsea at 1-1 before going on to lose. Unibet price it at 15/4.

Head to Head

City won the league encounter at the Etihad Stadium between the sides 3-0 earlier in the campaign while they also defeated Fulham 2-0 in the EFL Cup encounter back in November. Indeed, City have seven straight victories in this fixture and have not lost to the West London side in 12 games.

  • Manchester City have won nine of their 14 matches away from the Etihad in the Premier League this season and winning 29 points on the road – the division’s third strongest record.
  • Fulham have won just four of their 15 home games in the Premier League, collecting 15 points in the process – the third worst record in the division.
  • Pep Guardiola’s side have won 11 of their last 12 matches in the division, with their 2-1 loss at Newcastle back in late January the only blotch on this record.
  • Fulham have conceded 70 Premier League goals this campaign – at least 13 more than any other side – while City have the best attacking stats, with 79 goals this season.
