Score: 2-1.

The Premier League returns this week with an important clash between top-four chasing Chelsea and relegation-threatened Newcastle on Saturday evening in a game the hosts are favourites to win due to the struggles of the visitors.

Neither of these sides are in sparkling form going into this fixture with both dropping a lot of points in league fixtures across the past month.
Despite still holding a position in the top four, they have won just five of their last 10 league matches were and were held to a scoreless draw by Southampton in their last fixture.
Newcastle have won just once in their last nine fixtures in all competitions – a victory at Huddersfield – and have scored just once in their last four league fixtures.
Rafael Benitez’s side are without a win in five and whilst they sit 15th in the league table, they are only two points above the relegation zone.
The hosts will be favourites to returns to winning ways in the league against a side who are desperately struggling for points and who have a lack of firepower upfront.
The home side are favourites to win this game although it may not be comfortable – a 3-1 triumph for the West London side would appear a likely outcome from it.
