Napoli vs Arsenal Europa League

Score: 0-1.

The second legs of the Europa League quarter-finals take place this week with the tie of the round seeing two of the tournament favourites go head-to-head in the south of Italy. The home side are slight favourites for this clash although they trail 2-0 from the first leg.

Arsenal are in the driving seat for a spot in the last four thanks to their first leg victory – secured through an early Aaron Ramsey goal and an own goal from Kalidou Koulibaly.

Unai Emery won this competition on three separate occasions for Sevilla and his side are third favourites for this competition behind their quarter-final opponents and London rivals Chelsea.

Napoli have qualified for this stage of the competition having defeated Swiss side FC Zurich alongside Austrian team RB Salzburg in the Round of 16.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are sitting second in Serie A but are a whopping 17 points behind league leaders Juventus, and seven points ahead of third-placed Inter.

The hosts will be favourites to edge this game on the night due to possessing home advantage, and a need to win, but progress to the semis may prove to be beyond them.

The home side are favourites to win this game although it may not be comfortable – a 3-1 triumph for Carlo Ancelotti’s team would appear a likely outcome from it.

Betting Tips

This game is likely to contain goals with Napoli chasing a two-goal deficit, and second legs are typically much less cagey than the opening encounters at this stage of the competition. 26 goals have flown in across Napoli’s last seven matches and Arsenal have lost both away matches in the knockout stages of this tournament, including 3-1 at Rennes. This is among the best online betting odds for this round of fixtures. 888Sport have over 3.5 goals at 8/5.

The Gabonese striker already has four goals to his name in this competition this season and 22 in total this campaign. He is facing a team without a clean sheet in their last eight matches here and with the home side needing goals, they may leave spaces at the back for Arsenal to exploit. Auba is 37/anytime at 888Sport.
