Arsenal vs Qarabag Europa League Predictions

Arsenal vs Qarabag Europa League

The match is over.
Score: 1-0.

The Europa League group stages concludes this week with a Group E clash between Arsenal and Qarabag on Thursday evening – the hosts have already guaranteed their progression through the group and are strong favourites to win this game against a Qarabag side who have already been eliminated.

The English side have won four and drawn one of their five group games to date with their only blotch a 0-0 draw at home to Sporting CP earlier in the group.

Qarabag have no chance of qualification through the group and have lost four of their five group games, with the only exception a 1-0 victory away to Vorskla.

However, the Gunners won last time out in Lisbon thanks to Danny Welbeck’s strike, meaning that if Sporting lose here they could be looking over their shoulders in the group.

Unai Emery’s side now look certain to top the group and will guarantee they finish in first place with a draw or better in this game, as they currently sit three points clear of second-placed Sporting CP.

The hosts will be favourites to make it five European wins out of six due to possessing home advantage, superior form and quality over Qarabag.

The home side are favourites to win this game and despite being likely to make widespread changes – a 4-1 triumph for the North London side would appear a likely outcome from it.

Betting Tips

Arsenal hit 10 goals across three games against group minnows Qarabag and Vorskla, while the Azerbaijani side themselves have shipped 12 goals in the competitions. Six of those came in a hammering against Sporting CP in their last encounter.  This is another game which is likely to have a minimum of four goals with these odds among the strongest for the best online football betting markets of this Europa League matchday.

Arsenal are expected to win this game and win it comfortably. All three of their group games against Qarabag and Vorskla to date saw the Gunners record comfortable wins when they were ahead by half-time and pushed on from there to seal the points. Expect a similar outcome in this game, with Unai Emery’s side taking an early lead and cruising to a comfortable win.
