Brazil vs Venezuela Copa America Predictions

Copa America 2019 Brazil vs Venezuela
Brazil vs Venezuela - Copa America

The match is over.
Score: 0-0.

With the Copa America slowly gaining speed and momentum after the first few games, Brazil will be looking to make another big statement following their comfortable opening game win against Bolivia, while Venezuela will be out to cause an upset.

On paper, most will expect Brazil to come through with the win in this game with ease but Venezuela have players that can hurt Brazil can cause them massive problems.

After their 3-0 win against Bolivia, Brazil will obviously be favourites due to their results and the players they have on show, but as recent results against Venezuela have shown that it might be a straight forward win.

Venezuela, armed with the likes of Salomon Rondon and Josef Martinez up front, have the ability to beat Brazil and if they catch the Selecao on a bad day, they may come away with three points.

Since their World Cup loss against Belgium, Brazil have only failed to win one game since – a 1-1 home draw against Panama – and have looked in imperious form.

After drawing 0-0 in their opening game against Peru, many won’t fancy Venezuela mainly because of their recent inconsistent form, being unable to string together two wins in a row since beating Panama and the UAE in September-October of 2018.

Brazil are favourites to win this game although it may not be a big a margin as many suggest and certainly no repeat of the first leg – a 3-1 triumph for Tite’s side would appear a likely outcome from it.

Betting Tips

Brazil are strong favourites for this clash so a win for the Selecao carries very little risk while it is also highly likely that both teams will score given the attacking talent on show – 888sport have it as 5/2. While it wouldn’t be too much of a shock to see Venezuela pull off a good result, the betting has to go in the way of Brazil.

These are lengthy odds for an outcome which is more probable than they reflect. Brazil put three past Bolivia last time out so we know that they’ve got the firepower to score three goals but it all rests on whether the duo of Martinez and Rondon can score at least once to make this bet a reality, with this one being rated at 21/2 by 888sport.
