Brazil vs Perú Copa America Predictions

Copa America 2019 Final
Brazil vs Perú - Copa America Final

The match is over.
Score: 3-1

The conclusion of the Copa America is this coming weekend and with underdogs Peru facing favourites and tournament hosts Brazil, this game should realistically go in one direction but after the semi finals, you never know what can happen.

Predictions

Brazil come into this game as pure favourites but like against Chile, Peru won’t give up and they have enough talent to worry the Selecao going forward.

Brazil are unbeaten in 2019, having won three of their four friendlies and winning four of their five Copa America matches, with the only draw coming in a 0-0 tie against Venezuela.

Peru have lost three times this year against the likes of Brazil earlier in the group stage, and El Salvador and Colombia in pre-tournament friendlies.

Brazil beat Bolivia and Peru in the group stages, while beating Paraguay in the quarter finals on penalties and Argentina in the semi finals.

Peru’s road to the final has been littered with differing results, beating Chile in the semi final, Uruguay on penalties in the quarter finals and losing to Brazil in the group, beating Bolivia and drawing the opening game against Venezuela.

The hosts are favourites to win this game and have more than enough talent to win the Copa America, so a 3-1 win would be more than realistic for Brazil, although we may have to wait until the second half before the game explodes into action.

Betting Tips

In contrast to the Ireland setup, the mood in the Welsh camp is very high at the minute with exciting youngsters like Ethan Ampadu and Ben Woodburn emerging to complement star names like Bale and Aaron Ramsey.

Wales have kept four clean sheets in their last eight away games, including in Dublin in March 2017, so are well-set to fly back to Cardiff with maximum points – especially if Bale, who has 30 goals in 72 appearances for his country, is back in the starting lineup.

These are lengthy odds for an outcome which is more probable than they reflect, due to the result earlier in this competition. Brazil know that they’re better than Peru and know that they’ve got the upper hand, but the scores being level at the break due to intense Peruvian defending is likely, before the Selecao run riot in the second half is rated at 29/10 by 888sport.
