Napoli vs Paris Saint-Germain Champions League Predictions

Champions League Napoli vs Paris
Napoli vs PSG

Tuesday, November 6th, 20:00

After surrendering a late lead to PSG in their first meeting, Napoli will be looking to complete the job in the reverse fixture of their Champions League tie.

In France, things couldn’t be rosier for Paris Saint-Germain. They have won all eleven games, scoring 39 goals in the process and conceding only seven. In the Champions League things could be better and would have been far worse were it not for Angel di Maria’s last-gasp goal to rescue a 2-2 draw at home to Napoli.

While the Italian side will be disappointed with the result, they remain the only side in the group unbeaten. In Italy they remain in the mix to challenge for the title, scoring late to equalise against Roma in their second big game of the week.

While home advantage will help Carlo Ancelotti, his former side can score anywhere against anyone. Expect goals but separating them will be a little tougher and we may see another 2-2 draw.

With a front three of Edinson Cavani, Neymar and Mbappe Lottin goals are easy to come by for PSG. Even if they have only won one of their last six Champions League games, they have scored in the all of them and found the net in their last 19 games.

Napoli meanwhile have scored in each of their last eight games, including every game at home this season. The two goals PSG conceded to the Naples side belies their defensive supremacy this season, having only conceded seven goals. Layvin Kurzawa’s continued absence also causes them problems defensively.

The Belgian forward has a slow start to the season but found the net in each of his last three games, including his goal against PSG.

With the goals likely to be flowing at the San Paolo, don’t bet against him getting at least one.

Before their 2-2 draw at the Parc de Princes, the last time these two sides met was in the second round of the UEFA Cup in 1992 years ago. On their way to the final George Weah scored twice in the first leg for PSG, with a 0-0 home draw enough to see them through.

That win is the last one PSG enjoyed in Italy, with their record in country spotty in their last nine trips, losing five and drawing three.
